Primary Movement

I am a multidisciplinary artist, mother and earth steward. I began my dance journey at age three, falling in love and pursuing a path in on stage and in studio. Studying with world-renowned instructors and choreographers, training and performing professionally nationally & internationally, finding home as a freelance dancer and arts educator. I created a dance program (BIPOC youth dance program) that provided full scholarships to young Black dancers, sharing my love of movement, mentorship and accessibility in dance.

After stepping away from full-time training and teaching to raise my beautiful daughters, I’ve explored several different artistic mediums and play, discovering new ways to express myself. Returning to dance through class taken purely for joy, I realized I was ready for more, to embrace my art practice again—this time with a renewed perspective and a commitment to telling stories through my unique lens.

I currently train in ballet, pointe, traditional West African, and modern dance, collaborating and improvising regularly with dancers and musicians.

I am preparing to create a dance concert called, Return, a fusion of ballet and traditional West African movement exploring isolation, resilience, and the power of community. How we are better together in so many ways. Challenging myself to take up space, think big and share the talents I have worked so hard to cultivate. Allowing God to speak through us as artists to bring deep feeling, thinking, and change to the audience.

In addition to performing, I am developing a youth mentoring program and dance classes for aspiring dancers, continuing my dedication to accessibility and artistic growth.

Support my work by sponsoring my dance career— help fund The Return, scholarship programs, pointe shows, classes, studio rentals, rehearsals, or cross-training and physical therapy for a long, powerful and healthy career.
